Our Oroville trip: Monday – 7:00am leave PG – 4:30pm get to Oroville! Eat Dinner with EVERYONE and have our Robertson gift exchange and presents from and to my mom and dad! Josh and Mal were there but had to leave that evening. Christy and Rob had just gotten there and all of the singles were home (missing Ryans fam and Tracies fam).

picture taken later in the week BUT we did meet THOMAS JETT! you think we are ready for one this little!!!

Tuesday – games in the morning and Erica and her kids came to play with us! That afternoon we went to the Park for ultimate and football and pizza. That night mom made her Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and we played more games and watched BYU basketball.

Cali and Gabriella are just one month apart - I love how they are wrestling here.

Wednesday – all of the kids went to Kevin and Liz’s in the morning to play on their new swing set, We played more games at Gmas – TwinkleBear, Nertz, Dominion, Ticket, and Small World were some of the regulars. The Eggers left that afternoon and that evening my mom watched the kids so Ben and I could go to dinner with some Friends! and we played games before bed 🙂

I still hadn't unpacked my camera at this point in the trip - Angelee took this one of the girls at Righteous Burger.

Thursday – We went over to say bye to Than and Erica, played games, Brittney came over, I shopped with mom and then at 4:00 we left for the Kings game in Sacramento. We met up with Josh and Payton and the Eggers so we had 20 of us at the game and we all cheered for Jimmer. And again my mom stayed home and watched my kids! We got home late and watched the recorded byu basketball game before crashing.

    Pre-game - purpled Out

    at the game

Friday– the engine light in the van had come on so I took it to the shop, spark plug did the trick!, BYU football at 9am, Power wheels in the back yard, spaghetti and games.

Cruisin in the John Deers! We did this last year but this year we were in Grandpas's back yard and now these kids know how to DRIVE!

    High Fives for Uncle Sean

Packer and Grandpa Robertson on our last night.

Monday- 7:30 leave (already 8:30 Utah time), Nevada City = Speeding Ticket! ok – we were speeding but you were camped out 5 ft before the speed limit increases by 10 and we would have been fine – not cool. The most not cool part was that all of the kids were asleep – awoken abruptly by the police man 🙁 and Ben rolled down his window for the cop MOMENTARILY FORGETTING that our windows are broken! So we got a ticket, had 4 wide awake kids and then played freeze-out for the next 2 hours while we tried to crank on the window and get it all the way up!! not fun. Next time I’ll keep driving and mail you the 300$! From there we only stopped in Lovelock and then Wendover at 4:00, grabbed Mcdonalds for tha too many-eth time that month. Another successful 11 hour trip!

    headed home! DVD player(check), PSP(check), Tablet(check), Laptop(check), MP3 player(check), Dads Phone(check), Moms Nook(check) and a few toys and snacks!

    Christmas Day 2011

7:20am Benji wakes up and checks things out, wakes up mom and dad and then all of his siblings!!

9:30 Christmas is unwrapped! Cinnamon Rolls for Breakfast and then time to get ready for church!

Ben made some killer rolls - yummy!

I loved having church on Christmas Day. It was really nice to have that time set aside to think about Christ and all that he means to me and to this world. Singing the Christmas Hymns and hearing testimony of Christ were a wonderful way to spend my Christmas morning!

And that afternoon we were able to go over to Ben’s parents house for Christmas Dinner!! I don’t remember the last time I had a real Christmas dinner. It was awesome. Unfortunately Rose decided to be barfy on Christmas Day so we came home early. We ended the day playing with new toys, watching the Green Bay Packers, and setting up the kids new beds!

Benji and Packer LOVE their new bunk bed! It is still under debate who will get the top and who will sleep on the bottom. I believe the Nettesheim boys rotated every month so that may be our solution as well.

Cali got Benji's old bed with NEW TINKERBELL sheets and blankets!! She loves having her own bed and the girls have adjusted well to being in the same room.

    Christmas Eve 2011

We love our Christmas Traditions and are super lucky to have so much family close by to share the holidays with. On Christmas Eve we have a big feast – we bring whatever food we want, no holds barred 🙂 We like to think that we are letting in a little bit of Udine’s Guatemalan culture but either way we always have a lot of yummy food. Tomales, special punch, poppers, chicken noodle soup, breads, chips and dips and of course some cream puffs, cake, and pie. Mostly we eat all night BUT we do let the kids dress up and act out the birth of Christ and we decorate cookies for Santa which is always a hit. This year we went to Michelle and Udine’s house and Mom and Dad came and Emily brought her kids.

Mary ( she was so excited to get to be Mary), Inn Keeper and Shepherd.

2011 Cast: Luca, Packer, Micah, Kiah, Diego, Cali, Benji, Lalo, Mia

and Rose - "the crying sheep"

    Cookie Time:

    Cali

    Packer

    Benji and the big boys

We came home at a decent time to get our new pajamas on and leave a note for Santa. Benji made sure to leave 9 carrots for each of the reindeer. They each left their favorite cookie for Santa and a glass of milk. The excitement on Christmas Eve is SOO much fun. Our kids are the perfect ages for anticipation and pure joy. This is definitely one thing that I will miss when they get older.

“to Santa the cookies and milk but the carrots…” Benji got a little side tracked and forgot to finish the note 🙂 Good Night!

The Friday afternoon before Christmas we went over to my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson’s house to wish them a Merry Christmas. The kids played with “The Marble Toy” and enjoyed the chocolate that Grandma Great had put out for them. Ryan and Tara brought their family over at the same time and my cousin Sasha came so we had a mini Christmas party.

Arden Johnson with his great Grand Kids - Cali and Packer

I love this picture because Grandma is looking and smiling - she is almost always camera shy.

Tara and Rose - catching up after limited play time in the last month.

Friday Evening we met up with all of the Nettesheim crew at McDonald’s in Cedar Hills. We ate and played and visited before heading over to Pete and Amanda’s house. That night we decorated gingerbread houses and had our cousin and sibling gift exchange. It was a fun night.

    Load on the candy!

Benji decided to be on the littler kids house so he could reach easier. Cali and Anna getting their candy on.

Packer with his crew - they did a good job on this side of the house.

The Train - Ben's mother got this train when she was 3 years old. Our kids loved playing trains with Grandpa.

    more trains - making tunnels

Ben’s parents invited our family over for a little personal time and gift exchange right before Christmas. We went over and spent the evening at their house. The train was a big hit for the kids. We visited with Ray and Gladys, exchanged gifts and ate some yummy treats.

These were the first gifts of the season and the kids loved it. They each got their new ornament for the year!

Ben finally got his pickle making kit! yes, a pickling kit.

treat time, Benji downed the donut holes!

and Rose loves this chair at Grandpa and Grandmas house.
