LOVE when these girls get along

Cali is such a good helper and big sister… it is all on HER terms of course but when things are right with these two – things are GOOD. On this day both of the girls went out to ride bikes and when I looked out my heart just melted to see Cali helping Rose ride and have fun. They were both so happy…

Can you see Cali pushing Rose with her bike?

they went around and around like this - so cute to watch

    Back in Business

I had to shut down the hot tub back in October -ish because our electric bill was sky high and I was pregnant so… I cleaned it our this week and the kids spent 2 hours in it yesterday. I love the hot tub!

yes, I let Rose get in

The challenge is going to be the Rose and Raymond combo. If anyone is in – Rose will want to be in but she is just little enough that I feel like I need to be in there with her which is ok but I don’t always have a free hour for hot tubbing. So I will have to figure out when the best times to tub are and we’ll see if Raymond enjoys it or not. Anyway – the kids love it and it helps them get comfortable with water. Love my hot tub/swimming pool.

    Rosie Rose

The most recent adventures of Rose:

    I am a princess.

    love her personality

Rose is a crazy little 1 and a half year old. She was 18 months on April 1st (speaking of April fools: we put koolaid in cups and the kids all tried to drink it – hee hee). Rose can be extremely fun or extremely moody. She has decided to start biting her bottles so I am trying to get her to switch to a sippy – we are having medium success but she still loves the bottle when I just give in and give it to her. She is much happier and less moody with a stomach full of milk.

all of our kids have enjoyed the backyard swing

    wheeeeee

    happiness

Rose has discovered the whipped cream in the fridge. I made the mistake of giving her a taste straight into her mouth and now she can’t get enough. She follows me into the kitchen and speaks gibberish until I give her some cream. I must admit that it is pretty cute.

    Rose's new best friend

don't use the red can of cream if you come over for sundaes or jello :)Â

Rose said “yellow” today! and she still says “sorry” in a really cute voice and accompanies it with a hug. She has started teasing her siblings – her teasing is taking game pieces and messing everything up that they are doing, not so cute but a learning opportunity for all involved. That’s it for now but I’m sure she’ll do something new or crazy soon so I’ll be back.

    Digital Library

I am officially a user of the online digital library. The Library now comes to me so I don’t have to try and take 5 crazy kids to IT. Amazing isn’t it? and I can return the books from the comfort of my couch as well! It’s a limited selection but I haven’t read much so I feel like there are plenty of options. I have read at least 6 books in the past month. This is a good thing but I do need to limit my reading. I love to just sit and hold the baby and the Nook. Ben suggested limiting my reading to when I am nursing… it is a good plan but once I pick it up it is hard to put down. Anyway, I’m excited for digital libraries. Very Cool.

(every post needs some baby pictures when your baby is this cute!)

love the sleeping with the arms up!

    Kevin and Conference

My brother Kevin brought his family out to Utah this past weekend so we got to spend the weekend with his family and the college kids over at Ryan’s place. We had a good time hanging out during and between conference sessions. We ate lots of good food and played a few games. We stayed up way too late and the kids played hard with all the cousins. Come Sunday night we were all exhausted but I loved it. Liz and Kevin are great and their kids are super cute and fun. Mostly I just got pictures of the babies…

Thomas was not a happy camper - so we decided to try again later...

Tommy was born in December and Ray in February so they are 2 months apart - when you are this little that makes a big difference.

    cousin buddies

Saturday Night Sleepover - our kids were SOO excited to stay the night.

    Ben and “Press Here”

We got a new kids book!

Ben went to Benji’s classroom on his lunch hour yesterday and read a story to the class. I think they have someone come every Monday and Benji was so excited to have his dad come. He did the same last year when Benji was in Kindergarten and they both loved it. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them. I love that Ben takes time to do little things that are special and the kids will remember. Hopefully he can keep it up with the other kids ( no pressure :)) He found an interactive book called “Press Here” and the kids are loving it.

We read this book at least 15 times already.

If you want to you can buy it here at Amazon. Anyway, just thought I’d share the cool book and the coolness of a dad that can take a lunch break and make his 1st graders day 🙂
