    St. George – Year 7

We think we’ve been going to St. George during Spring Break for 7 years now! ย That’s before my little family even needed a spring break ๐Ÿ™‚ Each year we stay at the same condo’s and hang out with Pete’s family, Matt’s family and Michelle’s family. It’s a great mix of family and fun in the sun.ย (except we missed last year for Joel’s wedding)

We had a super fun time. The weather was great and that made all the difference. Our kids were little fish. They swam and swam and would have swam more if we had let them ๐Ÿ™‚

We also Ate a TON. Donuts and Mongolian. Custard and more custard. Burgers and Veyo Pie and Texas Road House…

We also found a fun park to spend the day on Saturday. It had a great play ground and a splash pad, tennis courts and wind to fly the kite. On Thursday we also went to a park and played soccer and threw the football and watched Amanda learn how to run again.

    Spring Break

We love spring break. As the kids get older I start to look forward to the few days that we don’t have to set the alarm clock. On Monday we were 100% lazy and I think it was a hit. We watched shows and played a few games and stayed in pajamas as long as possible.

That evening we went to Emily and Schyleur’s house and met our newest nephew: Bennet David

On Tuesday I made the mistake of scheduling 8:30am dentist appointments so we were all off and out the door early. I did come up with the brilliant plan to let Ray sleep in a little and then Ben was even more brilliant and took him to work for an hour instead of dropping him off with me. It was good bonding time I’m sure.

And then on Wednesday we were off to St. George!

    Our Weekend

We had a super fun weekend!

On Friday night we had some family time with our kids. We introduced them to the first Harry Potter movie. They liked it and are excited for the next movies and excited to start reading them again. Packer says we do need to finish Fable Haven before we start that series.

On Saturday we were excited for General Conference. A few weeks ago Ben and I spoke in church about the importance of prophets and being prepared to hear the word of the Lord at General Conference. It was a great reminder for us and we were truly excited to listen on Saturday and Sunday. After conference Ben made pizza and we finished getting the house cleaned up. Ryan and Tara and their 4 girls came over at 5:30! We ate pizza and the boys went to Priesthood Session of Conference. Tara and I took the kids to Trafalga! It was super fun with cousins. They played Laser Tag and climbed the rock wall and drove go carts. I had the babies and little kids so we played on the video games with no money and we rode the airplanes and played miniature golf. We played on the playground and then it took me 10 minutes to convince the girls to be done on the frog hopper! Rose rode the Frog Hopper at least 15 times in a row at the very end! Millie and Ray were tired a little after 8pm so we swapped Benji for Brinlee and I came home. Tara and her crew stayed until 11pm! We came back and met up with Ben and Ryan and Joel and Brady and Sean and Casey. We let the kids watch a movie and we played 7 wonders and Dominion until 1am.

On Sunday we ALL slept in. Ben got the food started. Ryan and I worked on a puzzle while we listened to conference. Then right before 12:00 Shannon got here! She drove fron Rexburg to spend the day with us – HER BIRTHDAY. And Sean and Brady and Casey all came cause it was SEAN’s bday too! and Joel and Megan joined us! We ate some delicious Pork Burritos and Ben made some amazing salsa. We watched the last session of conference together and then we played games and had cake and ice cream and partied until people had to leave.

Today is the first day of SPRING BREAK and I am loving it. Everyone slept in again! We stayed in our PJ’s all morning and now we are just blogging and playing a game with the kids and being lazy ๐Ÿ™‚ We will go to St George later in the week and we are all excited for that.

we had to take the car in to the shop and get it registered and fix a window (180$) so when i picked Ben up from work that evening we decided to grab some Taco Bell and head to the park! It was so fun. And easy. And not our normal routine.

    APRIL FOOLS 2014

another month has come and gone. We started April with a bang – or really the kids and Ben did. I am a non April Fools dayer – but the boys went to bed so excited that Ben got up early and did crazy stuff for them… I believe there was a “only 5 minutes til school’ wake up call, then there were frozen cereal bowls, lotion on the door knob, backwards sandwiches in there lunch as well as mixed up chips and cookies. The boys tried to get him back with bombing him with bags when he came home, salt in his water and plastic on his side of the bed.

I also need to apologize to all of the neighbors that received a plate of “brownies” from us!

We finally paid to get our dog area fenced in! Our poor dog has been cooped up in the house since we moved last summer so I am excited to be able to leave him outside more often:

The year is 1/4 of the way over! We have our first signs of spring. I’m loving having a yard. And Benji wanted me to show his painted rocks that he and Diego put by the front door ย ๐Ÿ™‚
