these boys are great friends. They are starting to tease more and more. I’m nervous but excited to watch them grow up.

And yes that is Millie sitting in a pile of toys. She loves to sit. She will play and play as long as she has lots of choices in front of her and they need to be “mouth” proof because everything has to be tasted.

I loved Ray trying to push the buttons on our TV! So cute. I’m sure he’ll have a 48 inch touch screen someday but for now we can still laugh and try not to be too worried that our 2 year old is very capable with tablet electronics.

Rose is obsessed with the melty beads – She will sit and create for hours.

it was almost summer and now it’s cold again… Ray is getting so big. We are thinking that Rose will be the runt of this family. I’m the shortest in my fam as well so I think she’ll be ok ๐Ÿ™‚

Millie looked so cute on Sunday and she was good for all 3 hours of church. By the time I went to take a picture she was super tired and it was bad lighting. o’well.

My youngest sister Kelsey is doing wonderful missionary work in Taiwan. Her emails every week are great. She really loves the gospel and the people that she gets to share it with.

Seeing pictures like this make it a little easier to have her gone. Cali and Rose always tell me how much they miss having Kelsey come over ๐Ÿ™‚ I miss her too.

    Erica and Emily

Erica and Emily came to attend Women’s Conference at BYU so I got to see them this last week. I actually got to see them a LOT. Like Wednesday night and Thursday night and Friday night and lunch on Saturday!! I never hang out with friends that much, it was fun. Lots of fun. We didn’t have any kids with us, weird. We were able to catch up with each other and with LaNell and Jeneca and Rian. We tried a few new Provo hangouts and snacked and laughed late into the evening hours. So for posterity’s sake or for anyone reading this that doesn’t know: Emily and Erica met in the dorms in 98 and were besties. I spent lots of time with Emily over the years and sheย was my last roommate before I got married. Erica, I met in high school. Playing softball? I think. She pretty much lived with me during high school and we have been besties forever. I loved my little stay-cation ๐Ÿ™‚

    Benji Plays Goalie

We all went to Benji’s game after lunch. He is still one of the most timid but he did have some good defensive clears and he took his turn at goalie! He was nervous to do it but he did it and he did pretty good. He had some saves. They did score on him twice but the defense wasn’t much help on both of those.

Ben still coaches Benji’s team. It’s been fun to watch these boys grow together over the years. Ben is a really good coach. The boys all love him. It’s hard to really get the kids to the level you want to in such a short season but we have fun and a longer season would probably be too hard on our family so we’ll take it. This year Ben has been researching other drills and games for practice to keep these boys moving.

    Cali Plays Soccer

Soccer Saturdays are in full swing. This last Saturday Packer and Cali played at the same time. Ben coaches Packer so he goes to that and I get to take Cali. This Saturday Grandpa Nettesheim came to watch Cali and Mia and he got some good pictures. He even captured her right as she was winding up to kick a goal!

It’s fun watching the games even with 3 kids on my lap, climbing and whining ๐Ÿ™‚

    Trampoline and Kyler

Rose is obsessed with the neighbors trampoline. She just loves to jump. She has been asking if she can go jump at 8am right after she wakes up! Our neighbors said they can jump whenever they want and Rose has seriously been over there every day. I love trampolines. I wish my husband did so that we could have one. I did go over there with Raymond the other day so that he could try jumping and I did do a back flip just to make sure that I still could ๐Ÿ™‚

Rose is also obsessed with our neighbor Kyler. He is 4 and they have loved playing together. I asked them if I could take a picture of them before they went and jumped on the trampoline. They said yes and then Kyler told me that they would probably get married some day and Rose said ya, probably when she is a mom ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure their big sisters and lots of princess movies have helped them come to these conclusions. For now they are just SOO CUTE.

the bird in the back corner

there was a bird in the back corner of our yard that is actually in the neighbors yard and it just sat there for over a week. It laid 2 eggs in the gravel and it was just sitting there protecting. It’s been fun to watch it and get close but not too close. The bird will run away if you get too close. We were told that running is one of its tactics to keep the eggs safe – it will try and get you to follow it on the ground and away from the nest, then after it lures you away it will come back. It also ruffles its feathers and tries to look big when you walk by. The eggs just hatched and we got to see the baby birds for a day before they all took off to safer places away from so many curious kids.

We got to take Grandma out to dinner on Tuesday night! She is such a great person. She is 90 years old but her memory is amazing and she is full of knowledge and wisdom and memories. She wanted to go to OUTBACK to get the rack of lamb with mint green jelly! I love it. I love that she knew exactly what she was craving and we made it happen. We got Sean to watch all of the kids so it was a quiet adult meal which we don’t get often.

A few words of wisdom from this trip:

She told us about the advice she got from her mom when she was raising her family and complaining about leaving a sink full of dishes every night to run off to baseball games… Her mom said to leave the dishes and enjoy the games. Soon enough you will have time to do as many dishes as you want. She said it has been a good reminder to live in the moment and enjoy the present stage of life.

She said one of her motto’s is to not worry. If something is going to happen ย you’ll have plenty of time to worry about it then and figure it out but it doesn’t do any good to worry about it before it even happens.
