    Thanksgiving Day

We had another great Thanksgiving this year. I love going to mom and dad Netty’s house and enjoying the day with family. Ben was on Bill duty this year. Grandma Becker didn’t make it because she was in a rehab facility and Grandpa was pretty confused the whole time 🙁 We were grateful to be with family and grateful to be blessed with so much!

The only little kids this year:

    The kids table:

    The big kids basement:

and the college girls out back:

    Adults table:

    Chocolate and Pumpkin pie!!!!

We taught some of the family how to play Augustus and that night I went black Friday shopping by myself 🙂

    I’m an old lady!

In other words, I had ANOTHER Birthday! I am grateful that I was born but Birthdays are still not my favorite. I don’t love the attention but I love being with all the people I love.

My Kids (husband) showered me with gifts in the morning! It was a Friday so we got up early for school and presents:

I smoked the kids in some soccer with my new indoors and then sent them off to school 🙂

Then we opened the puzzle and got started! This year was a Disney movie collage with PLASTIC PIECES and had almost a stain glass look to it!

The littles helped me find edge pieces. Then Erica came over around 9:30 and Abbie came a little after that. Michelle came after lunch. I loved having puzzle helpers and good conversation. I just love spending my birthday at the kitchen table with lots of fam and friends 🙂

I continued to be spoiled throughout the day: queso, cookies, flowers, cupcake, a Nap from Tiago and PHONE CALLS from family! …

The big kids came home from school and helped a little. Then Ben came home and made us a fajita dinner that was delicious. After dinner we went to the Hancocks to hang out and watch BYU football.

Then LaNell and I had a soccer game at 9:55! and then we came home and finished the puzzle at 1:00am. It ended up being a pretty perfect day.

    Fun COLOR Run

These kids were ready to Run!

I pushed Millie and Tiago and ran with Erica and Michelle.

Ray went with Matt and Ellie.

Rose and Ben went ahead of us.

    Cali was with her friends.

    Benji was up ahead.

And Packer was our fastest finisher up by himself.

This year they added chalk at the finish line. Our kids loved it. After the race we hung out and visited with friends and cousins and debated what food trucks to try. Our kids look forward to this every year.

Ellie and ray are pretty cool together!

We had Mia and Michelle over for Sunday dinner!

And Monday was brunch at mom and dads with lots of Nettys and Nate and Becky.

During the afternoon we hit the PG pool for the last time this season. A bunch of the cousins ended up going to the pool so it was a FUN day.

    Demolition Derby 2017

We went to the Utah County Fair Demolition Derby in Spanish Fork this year!

This was the 15th year! Ben and I haven’t even been married for 15 years so that’s pretty cool. And Sean and Erika have been with us the whole way:

They started with a WWII plane flying over! Grandma and Grandpa came this year! And Shy and Em and Matt and Jamie!

And Caitlin won the trophy!!! Packer was tied for runner up and Ray, Ben and Benji had strong early picks but fell through in the finals.

    Splash Pad Fun!

We went to the splash pad and park with the Falabella’s and LaNell! The kids played for an hour at the park with a stream and then we went to Bluffdale to try out the new splash pad there. It was pretty Awesome with a great park and lots of water. The kids were sad to leave so I’d say it was a success and I got to hang with Michelle and LaNell so double success.

Millie spent the night wrapping Sydney and the Webb cousins around her finger.

Benji made it home from Scout Camp on Saturday morning and played with cousins and then in the afternoon we asked him to do some chores and he just CRASHED. He couldn’t comprehend and had a melt down. Ben helped him figure it out and tried to teach him that even when we are worn out and tired we still have to choose to do what we are asked and we choose our attitude 🙂 His buddy Seth stopped by in the middle of that life lesson with a late birthday present.

And that night Benji got to babysit while we went to the game! I love being at the field and I love when it is good weather

On Sunday we had our Nettesheim Fireside and then celebrated Grandpa’s 70th Birthday!!

THESE GUYS! ready for JR. HIGH? I love that they still play and have fun and don’t have to be too cool.

Ray and Rose are so excited to start school. They both have the same size shoe right now.

    FHE! FINALLY

Friends over at the house on a summer day: Millie made a new friend when LaNell brought Andrew over to play.

    my genius child?

working on their Dr. Mario skills and getting high scores:

I am still the Wolf Den Leader:

Kelsey and I took the kids to the pond. We stopped and got XL drinks at Maverick cause they were free so… And then Brady! showed up at the pond and surprised us!

Thursday Night I went to Ben’s soccer game! He is blurry in the pic cause he was running really fast 🙂 And right after the soccer game we picked LaNell up at the mouth of the canyon and drove to Sundance to watch Jacob and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. We met the Hancocks up there and sat through a little rain. It was a fun show!

And then the kids finished THE SUMMER CHART!! They were so happy to be done!
