    Cute Cali

These are some old photo shoot pictures of Cali and Rose and Mia that I never posted. A friend wanted them to model some clothes from her boutique store:

Cali loves to read. She just started the Baggy Book program at school and she hurries home each day to read it to me. She also enjoys saving her snack and bringing it home to show all of us. She is doing really well in kindergarten so far. She enjoys the singing and the social aspects. She does come home quite tired though! Cali is still a great help with the other kids – she often checks on Millie for me and gets her up from her afternoon naps.

These sisters are BEST friends. They play SOO WELL together and it makes me so HAPPY. They can play for hours. They don’t fight (too much). They work out their differences. I hope it lasts forever.

and I love this picture of Cali because she is a sporty little soccer player but she wanted her hair a certain way and insisted on wearing her sparkly shoes!

    repeating Raymond

Ray is a good fun boy. His 2.5 year old downfall is naps – He gets tired and needs a nap but if he takes the nap then he can’t fall asleep at night. So I am constantly making the decision of peace now or peace at 8pm.

He is growing up a lot lately. He speaks pretty well when he tries and he always surprises me with how much he knows and understands. He was super brave when he got his flu shot this year. He likes to snuggle with mom but he also likes to be big and explore and keep up with the other kids. He is the prefect play ground age and climbs all over everything.

Ray’s other trait is that he does not give up. When he decides he wants something he repeats it, and repeats it and does not give in. He’s very stubborn that way.

    Rose Rose Rose

The other day Rose turned to me and in her most seriously sad voice told me “I can’t whistle or snap!” Her older sister can whistle and snap so she really wants to learn.

She is learning how to skip right now and it is the cutest little skip you’ve ever seen.

And My big 4 year old already knows how to pump on the swing!! I love looking out my kitchen window and seeing her and Cali swinging away on the neighbors play set.

Rose Loves CURLERS in her hair! 🙂 loves to be cute. Where’ dresses or skirts ALWAYS. changes outfits to be cute…

Rose usually asks what chores she can help me with in the mornings! She is the oldest one home in the mornings so she steps up and helps me with the babies and the chores.

Rose is still a little shorty. She shares a queen bed with Cali. She usually tags along with all of the Cali age girls in the neighborhood and does just fine. Her favorite show right now is Frozen and Tangled and Sofia the First.

    Cherry Hill

We’ve driven past Cherry Hill many times but I’ve never gone. So, we put it on the Stay-cation agenda. During the Fall they close down the water park options and decorate for Halloween and call it SCARY HILL. We paid for the full Day Pass and did several activities. We went with Ryan and Shannon and the girls. We played blaster ball, rock climbed, made our way through the maze, tried not to pee our pants on the trampoline, played in the playground and little kid boats. We rode the haunted hay ride which was pretty cool even though it was in the middle of the day. We ended with a game of miniature golf. The kids ran ahead and golfed with each other so Ben, Ryan, Shannon and I got to play each other. Unfortunately, it was not my best golf. We had to go home at 3:00 and we pushed it til the last minute. Millie zonked as soon as I put her in the van. Another FUN day with cousins!

We took all of the kids to the soccer field and played an intense game where we won 10-9, continuing our winning streak! We watched some BYU football and fell asleep…

    SHRIMP and a Sleepover

Next we pulled up at Ryan’s house! The kids were clueless. They thought we were heading home and then we stopped at a house they didn’t recognize and some neighborhood kids were in the yard so it really threw them off. Eventually, Taylee, Kylee, Marlee, and Brinlee came out and greeted us and the kids realized we were here for some fun. They got excited again when they realized that their pillows and blankets were in the back of the van and we would be staying the night! Ryan’s girls babysat so that Ben, Ryan and I could go to Red Lobster for Endless shrimp. I don’t like shrimp but it was fun just watching them eat. Ryan ate so many shrimp. The coconut shrimp were actually really good.

Shannon was home by the time we got back so we let the kids go at the candy bag and soda while we played Rook Wild Bird Bingo. We stayed up late and the kids stayed up late and we had a good time with my siblings and the kids cousins. The next morning the kids just played and played and had pancakes and found the candy stash again. We played Bingo again and then we loaded up around 11am and drove to Cherry Hill.

    Nickel Cade

We had a little time to kill and NEEDED to keep up our Stay-cation Pace so we swung by the NickelCade! The kids explored and played and agonized a little over which games they should play. I’m predictable – I played basketball and Mrs. Pacman.

    Dinosaur Park

The Dinosaur park! The kids did not enjoy the car ride, especially Cali who threw up her breakfast, but they were excited when they figured out where we were going. We spent a little bit of time in the indoor museum but the kids really liked the outside part. We ate a picnic lunch out by the dinosaur playground and let the kids get a bunch of energy out. Then we walked the outside trails and counted all of the Halloween decorations that were out with the dinosaurs.

One of my favorite parts was watching the girls get up the courage to touch this creepy ghost guy and then come running up the hill to me to safety! 🙂

    Heber Creeper

    IMG_20141016_173802

Thursday Evening we had tickets to board the Heber Train at 5:30. We thought the kids would enjoy being on a real train and they do a pumpkin Festival this time of year. They had a few people on the train that were dressed up and they passed out pumpkin cookies on the ride. After the ride they have a pumpkin train where we got to go in and pick out pumpkins to bring home and they had a haunted train to walk through. Ben’s parents joined us for the ride and they brought Kiah and Micah. It was a pretty short ride (20 minutes each way) but that was about right for a tired 1 year old named Millie, she barely made it. She doesn’t do well when she doesn’t have free range of movement and exploration 🙂 It was a fun ride. Not one that we will do every year but a good change.

    CornBelly’s

We got to Cornbellys around 10 am when they opened on Thursday – unfortunately half of Utah county had the same idea! There were lots of people there but it is big enough that there was still plenty to do. Jamie and her kids were there and Michelle and Udine and their kids. The kids played and played – princess stuff, bounce houses, lots of slides and things to climb on, peddle cars, hay rides, haunted mazes, corn maze, pig races, corn box and at 2pm we HAD to leave to get to our next activity on time. We’ve come here for at least 5 years now and the kids really look forward to it. It was fun to go during the day this year and with great weather.
