    2nd Grade

It’s so fun when the teacher sends you pictures. This isn’t in blog order but how could you not blog this cutie!

Millie in her sweet LOL sweatshirt and rockin the bball shoes. Ms Leavitt is so great with her already. She was Cali’s teacher before and she was the art teacher for all of the 5 youngest so she knows us pretty well. Her teacher said: “Millie isn’t the same as Cali and Rosie is she? She is her own girl!” That is our Millie girl – full of life and love.

    A Great Day

August 27th was a great day because I GOT TO SEE MY FRIEND KATIE!!! Erica and I met up with her at Costco and then we went out to lunch with Cameron and 2 of their kids – Celeste and Seth. The tacos were amazing but it was more amazing to be with old friends and refresh those relationships. I have the best high school friends!!

And the 30th was also a great day because we finally got our new GARAGE FRIDGE!! I didn’t realize how much we depended on that extra fridge and freezer space! It was a long summer with no otter pops or ice cream! It’s so convenient to have an extra fridge with all the easy frozen foods and always having milk on hand and lots of eggs and sodas. I will no longer take this fridge/freezer for granted.

    Root Canal

8/20-8/22 I got an abscess above my tooth. It was annoying and painful and my tooth felt very loose. I went to the dentist and he gave me an antibiotic and had me schedule a root canal with a specialist.

8/30 Root Canal time! Everything went well and the tooth healed nicely. I was able to go in to my dentist the next week and get the filling in the back filled in. It’s feeling great ever since.

Here is a typical 7:40am in our house – kids are mostly ready for school. Benji is already gone, Manila kids are ready and shooting hoops. Dad is teasing. Packer is on his phone. I just finished helping Cali with her hair.

Christy and Kylee came to town – and we went wedding dress shopping – with Westley and Megan. The craziest part was that she bought the 1st dress she tried on!

    Spontaneous Ice Cream Party

Remember that time that Ray had a soccer game and scored a goal so we needed to go to ice cream afterwards… And Pete is his soccer coach so Pete and Amanda came!… and right when we got there and got in line Matt and Jamie’s family walked in! That was a great evening. It’s really cool to live in the same town as family!

Soccer Nights! Benji and Cali also had games this week!

    The Ghost Rider Tree

This is King Henry Apartments. Ben and I both lived in these apartments back in 2000 when we met. Ben lived in the upper right – 82. I had purchased a pink BMX bike at the DI and would ride it around the complex. This tree had a branch that came out by the sidewalk so I would ride by and then stand on the bar of the bike and jump up and grab the tree branch. Then I swing from the tree and the bike ghost rides off into the grass. Sweet Trick, right? Anyway, One of the days I was out riding and I did the trick but my hands slipped off the branch and I came right down on top of the bike and got the handlebars in my back. Ben happened to be home and saw it and came rushing out to see if I was ok. I think I popped right up and pretended it didn’t hurt :0 (that was probably when we fell in love)
