    Our Yard!

Our Yard is Done – – it has been for a week and a half but I’m a bit slow at blogging these days. I love seeing green grass when I look out my windows. I love that there is noticeably less dirt being tracked into the house. I love our new house and yard.

    BLUE SHARKS

Cali got to play Soccer for the first time this year!! She was so excited because she’s been going to her brothers games for as long as she can remember. She was on the same team as her cousin Mia and our friend Jackson. This is the first team that Ben didn’t coach so we had coach Stacey. Cali did really well. She wasn’t afraid to go after the ball and had a good sense of trying to get to the goal. She scored goals in her first and last game! We worked a little on stopping the other team from scoring. She is aggressive and not afraid to get in the middle of the action. I enjoyed watching her play and am excited for spring when they play again.

    cookie dough

I’ve started watching what I eat but today the calories got the best of me and I snitched some cookie dough that was in the fridge. As I sneakily indulged in the sweet cookie dough, Rose appeared at my side:

    Rose: Whatcha Eating Mom?

    Me: Rice.

    Rose: What kind of Rice?

Me: The kind we had for dinner last night.

Rose: Is it Cookie Dough Rice?

    Me: umm

Rose: Can I have some cookie dough?

At this point I felt bad for lying and gave everyone cookie dough – (which is exactly what I didn’t want to do)… Lying is never the answer.

    The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the PUMPKIN PATCH!! We usually get pumpkins at the local grocery store but we thought we’d try something new this year. There is a pumpkin patch that we pass on our way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house so we’ve been watching the patch grow and headed there to find our pumpkins.

I think we’ll go back to the grocery store next October BUT it was fun to try something new.

    My 3 Babies

These 3 are little and require a lot of time and effort. 36 months, 20 months and 1 month! Some days I am in over my head. Lots of days I just have to realize that  the house is going  to get messier rather than cleaner. When they do nap it is rarely at the same time and then I have a pre-schooler, 1st grader and 3rd grader that need love, attention, help with home work and the older 3 also know how to make messes. I’m hoping we find a routine in the next little while but in the mean time we do have a messy house and there is chaos behind our new chocolate brown door 🙂 and YES, I do have my hands full!

(and I do feel the need to accompany this post with how cute and adorable and precious and worthwhile these kids are BUT that’s what every other post is for.)

    Millie = One Month

October 11th! We made it one month!

Isn’t she so cute? Once they are here it feels like you’ve always had them. Millie has been a joy this first month. She doesn’t like to sleep alone but I love to snuggle with her and as long as she’s being snuggled she sleeps soundly. She just started holding her head up – wobbly but trying. We think we’ve seen a few smiles – probably gas but we’ll take it. She does make eye contact and just looks so sweet. She still loves her pacifier or her fist if she can ever get it unwrapped.

We’ve taken it pretty easy this month and survived. Ben and I find ourselves counting to 6 a lot when we do take the kids out 🙂 I’ve only had to cook dinner a handful of times because so many friends and family brought us food! I don’t like to cook and dinner time is always the most hectic part of the day so that was a huge blessing. We LOVE baby Millie and are so grateful for a happy healthy baby!

    CORNBELLYS

We’ve been going to Cornbellys at Thanksgiving Point every Fall for as long as my memory goes back – – (that’s at least a few years 🙂 ) The kids love this place. This year it wasn’t tooo cold but it was threatening to rain so we debated about going and finally just went. As soon as we bought our tickets and put our wristbands on – IT STARTED RAINING! BOO. Luckily it only lasted 15 minuted but it was enough to soak all of the toys/attractions and close down the jumping pillow and Cow Train Ride. BUT, the kids didn’t care at all. We played and played and got a little wet and kept playing. Benji, Packer and Cali followed cousins around with smiles on their faces. Raymond was on the go the whole time. Rose didn’t whine at all! and Millie slept soundly in her warm car seat for the 3 hours! It was a SUCCESS:

    Crazy Hair Day

This week was crazy hair day at school for the boys. They both decided to be crazy and shave part of their heads. In years passed they have gone with ‘bed head” and simply not combed their hair that day. Shaving worked well since they need haircuts anyway. Packer had us shave half of his head and leave half normal. That inspired Benji who wanted a smiley face in the back of his head, but his hair is crazy thick so we ended up just leaving the top long.

Now the problem is it’s been 3 days with crazy hair and we haven’t fixed their hair cuts! maybe tonight… or at least before we go to church on Sunday 🙂

    Raymond’s First Haircut

Raymond Thomas has been over due for a haircut. His curls were cute but crazy and his hair went halfway down his back when it was wet. We kept putting off the haircut for 2 reasons. 1. They look so much older with it cut and we didn’t want our baby to be a big boy quite yet. 2. We were nervous if he would actually sit still long enough to cut it – I kept picturing a halfway cut head and crazy tantrums. We are happy to report that he loved being big and getting his hair cut like his brothers.
