    6th Grade Film Festival

Benji got to go to the Film Festival at Water Gardens!! He had a great time doing something different and exciting with his school friends. They got to ride in the Limo with friends from the back of the theater to the front, came in on the red carpet, bought treats and then watched their  films. All 6th graders were in groups of 5 or so kids and made scientific 3 minute movies. It was pretty neat for Benji to be there and his 4 best buddies all came and he got to hang with them! Then he grabbed a Kong Cone with Tye before coming home.

I got up early and took Benji to his Film festival at 7:00 film.

I came home at 9:00 so that Ben could help with the scout food drive.

Benji got home at 10:00 so I ran over to Stake Relief Society and listened to Dyer Highway and hung out with Jamie and Abbie.

Then we were home all afternoon and the kids played with the neighborhood. Ben worked on his motorcycle and trimmed the fruit trees and …

That evening we let Benji babysit and we went to the RSL game against LA Galaxy – another loss 🙁

The best part of St. Pattys was that it was March Madness!! Yes, I watched a few games.

Reuben sandwiches! a new tradition for us. And Green Cake and Shamrock Shakes! and LaNell came to visit!

We had another PARK DAY! Millie and all of my kids have been obsessed with the park and the nice weather. It has been beautiful after a long cold winter. But First we had to run to the store to get Benji a poster board for a project. Then we walked Rose to school and went to the Firetruck Park again! This time Julie Wise met us there!! And I got to chat with her for an hour. We used to walk every morning and were neighbors for 10 years so it was great to spend a little time with her.

We came home for nap time and then the big kids NEEDED to go to the FUN Park in LEhi so we packed a picnic dinner and went to Lehi around 5:00. The kids had a blast on all of the spinning toys. Kelsey came with us! Ben met us at the park after work!!

Kelsey and I left at 7:00 for our soccer game but the kids stayed for another 45 minutes! And Ben took all of the kids for Kong Cones cause he’s fun like that:

Tuesday: I asked Erica to take me to Costco! I brought $200 and it was really hard to stay under that amount – crazy Costco. We got pizza on our way out and then had 30 minutes to take the kids to the park before Kindergarten.

We ate Chicken Pot Pie for Dinner and Pumpkin Pie for dessert and Benji memorized the first 20 numbers in the number Pi – – -Successful 3.14 Pi Day.

Bennett: We’ve been watching Bennett every other day while his mom goes to work and Grandma and Grandpa are in Arizona. He is starting to get used to the chaos of our house. He LOVES the park: on this Monday we dropped Rose off at school and then went to the Fire Truck Park!

My kids were actually excited to find a football there to play with and they brought a basketball to practice dribbling! It’s a MIRACLE!

After school, Packer, Benji and I had scouts: We delivered flyers for the food drive. Julia came to babysit!! I stayed and chatted with Abbie for a while after. I’m enjoying working with her in scouts. That night for FHE we went out back and played basketball with the kids and it was FUN. We are LOVING the warm March weather.

Sunday: Millie was so excited to get to primary so that she could say the closing prayer!

Tiago will not go to nursery. He has figured out that if he pounds on the door and throws a big fit and ignores all attempts at calming him down then he is out of there in 5 minutes… he is a master fit thrower. He just wants to sit on my lap. And then he falls asleep during Relief Society every time.

Kelsey reading to all of the kids after church. She has late church like us now.

Joel and Megan, Sean and Jana came for Sunday Dinner! We watched 7 Brides for 7 Brothers after we ate. And I started a puzzle.

I got up and took Benji to his first BYU Merit Badge Pow Wow! no picture 🙁

But Cali and I did some quick shopping and then we hit the Provo River Trail on our roller blades!

On our way home Joel and Megan called to say that they were at Discovery park so we grabbed the kids and headed over to play with Gus:

We came home and had lunch and naps and relaxed a little and then went back over to the wood park with Falabella kids and Hancock’s!

Ben shopped all afternoon for Food Storage! and then we had Pizza and relaxed all night. Here is Tiago right before bed in giddy tired mode:

I am in love with these warm lazy Saturdays without Soccer or Wrestling commitments 🙂

Ray and Rose love Ellie – she is definitely one of their best friends. Matt and Jamie went away for a few days for Jamie’s birthday so we got to have Ellie, Anna, Ash and KK spend the night on Thursday night. The kids were great and they played hard on Friday morning before school:

    Rose the Artist.

    Ray and Ellie race.

Millie gives Tiago driving lessons 🙂

and top it off with ice cream cones on the way to school!
