Millie was killin it in her new Mal dress so we had to take pictures before school. She has been going out to ride her bike before and after school. And she is obsessed with having friends over to play or trying to get herself invited over. We fight every day after school about if she should have a friend over and why not and who and …
We had a Birthday Party for Millie on Thursday September 15th from 3:00 – 4:30. She did have to go to School that morning – Pajama Day!
Tiago and I worked on Millie’s cake while she was gone:
And we made sure the Treasure Hunt was ready to go:
Then at 3:00 it was party time! We had 10 kindergarteners, 2 1st graders, 6 siblings and a couple of cousins!
We started with Obstacle Course and Parachute Balloon Games!
We did a little LOL game and then opened presents and ate Cake and Ice cream:
And then we were off on a treasure hunt all over the neighborhood, over to the school and back in time for the parents to pick them up…
We made it back to the house and chilled for 1 minute until parents came and Millie basked in all of her presents:
It was a crazy hour and a half but I think it was a success. WE ALL HAD FUN!
Millie ended the night with a present in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa R! and Grandma and Grandpa N stopped by on her Bday with a new lego set. ONE HAPPY 6 YEAR OLD.
Millie had a fun crazy morning trying to get everyone to hurry so that she could open presents!
After school I took her and Tiago to McDonalds for lunch!!
It rained all day but she just played LOL and Barbies and Baby ALive and American Girl Dolls with her sisters and then the rain cleared for SOccer Practice!
We had Sausage Pasta and Corn on the Cobb for dinner and then we had cupcakes to celebrate the BIRTHDAY GIRL.
Millie is 6 going on 16! She is such a social kid and not afraid to talk to anyone. It’s been fun watching her figure out this kindergarten thing with so many kids in class and seeing where she fits in. She is still very controlling in our household but we are hoping that fire will take her far in life. We ended the evening with THE SPANKING TRAIN and then let Millie pick a movie to watch before bed.

Millie came home from the first day of Kindergarten talking about this kid named Tommy. She still talks about him and plays with him at recess. She even worked her way into going to his house after school one day and then having him over for a little bit.
The kicker is that she changed all of her birthday plans so that Tommy could come and would have fun! She decorated with LOL stuff and had an LOL cake but she wanted everything else to be stuff the boys would like – obstacle course and treasure hunt!

Millie is out there with all of her friends! She is having fun so far. She loves the social and the treats but she is also getting into the game a little. No goals yet but she is in it and paying attention so it is a win.
Millie has been out practicing her bike every day of September. She has gotten pretty good at it and has even mastered the driveway. She really just took off on labor day. I didn’t have to run with her or watch her fall – she was READY.
Her ultimate goal is riding her bike to school but I am not a fan of that so we’ll see if I cna make her forget 🙂
Tiago is getting better at the training wheels and loves to be out trying to keep up with the big kids.
We started Millie in Soccer this year. Maren and Cora and Benson and Lucas are all on her team! She is liking it so far. And Tiago is wishing he was on the team. He looks forward to practice more than anyone else.
Millie was so ready to go! Starting a weeks after the older kids is a bummer! She was happy to know Benson and Rex and Cora! She made a new friend named Tommy and says she plays with him the most. We rode scooters to school the first week. The second week I started sending her with friends!
This is where we pick them up after school. This was day 2, Millie wore her Manila Mustangs shirt 🙂 So far she is doing great and loving school. She called one day with a tummy ache and came home early – – – she was just hungry. Today she called cause her pants got wet on the slide but I told her to just wait the 30 minutes until school was over. Tiago and I are adjusting to our new schedule w/o her.
She wanted bangs so she got bangs!
