Millie has passed the 2 month milestone!

11 pounds 3 ounces. 22 inches long. HEALTHY.

She just learned how to smile. She is still new at it and pulls some fun faces as she tries to get her face to be happy. It is So FUN. So worth it when they finally respond to you.

 

I always forget to put a bow on this baby. I think I’m busy doing other stuff and it really never crosses my mind. She did get to wear one in the hospital and then again on her blessing day and YESTERDAY:

sometimes the cuteness factor just isn’t worth it!

 

This little doll came into this world 8 weeks ago!
She is simply perfect.
She has chubby Little Cheeks.
She loves to sleep in my arms.
Rose calls her Mill Girl.
She still gets lots of hugs and kisses.
MIllie does not like the swing.
She has been a pacifier baby from day 1 but this last week she’s starting to reject it.
We’ve mostly been home bodies other than a few trips to the store, a BYU basketball event, and some halloween.
She sleeps in a port-a-crib by my bed – for part of the night anyway.
She’s already survived a bad cold.
AlWaYs has a stinky diaper and the hic-ups.
Loves her bath – hates getting out and dried off.
Her eyes seem to be turning blue.
Hair is light brown short fuzz.
I LOVE when she holds my finger with her little fist.
We are just starting to get a few smiles out of her.
MIllie doesn’t like tummy time but is getting good at holding her head up.
She has a light in her eyes and brings a smile to our faces.

Millie’s Blessing Photo Shoot

I wish it was a real photo shoot but that is a very difficult task with babies this little and momma this busy…BUT I did get my 2 minutes of pictures in the mother’s lounge at church! And Millie is adorable and my mom made a beautiful dress and she is just so precious and sweet. We love Millie Girl!

October 11th! We made it one month!

Isn’t she so cute? Once they are here it feels like you’ve always had them. Millie has been a joy this first month. She doesn’t like to sleep alone but I love to snuggle with her and as long as she’s being snuggled she sleeps soundly. She just started holding her head up – wobbly but trying. We think we’ve seen a few smiles – probably gas but we’ll take it. She does make eye contact and just looks so sweet. She still loves her pacifier or her fist if she can ever get it unwrapped.

We’ve taken it pretty easy this month and survived. Ben and I find ourselves counting to 6 a lot when we do take the kids out 🙂 I’ve only had to cook dinner a handful of times because so many friends and family brought us food! I don’t like to cook and dinner time is always the most hectic part of the day so that was a huge blessing. We LOVE baby Millie and are so grateful for a happy healthy baby!
