Millie

Millie (and Tiago) and I had a blast at the splash pad in Geneva. We played for a couple of hours and just ran from one thing to the next. Millie was determined to do all of the hard things that she saw the other kids doing. She was also very determined to make a new friend.

I loved watching her do the zipline by herself and try to stand up on it and ride with a friend. She was good at taking turns with the other kids and helping Tiago follow her around. I love Millie’s fun personality always keeps me on my toes and I did have to threaten her at the end that it was TIME TO GO.

Tiago and I had a blast on our date! I actually combined Millie and Tiago because they both wanted to go to a splashpad, they both get the most mommy time, and they had more fun having each other there to splash around with.

Tiago is just a ball of fun. We played on the park. We played in the water. We checked out all of the fountains. We had a picnic lunch and we spent lots of time on the zipline!

He loved showing me cool tricks and things like him climbing to the top of the playground or putting his face in the water or leaning WAY back on the zipline. He is so easy and chill. We spent a couple of hours but he was not ready to leave when I drug him out of there.

At the end of summer I decided that I wanted to have some one on one time with each of my kids. I had them pick one free activity that we could go and do together. I had so much fun with each one of them!!

Tiago – Geneva Splash Pad, Millie – Geneva Splash Pad, Ray – Hike the Y, Rose – Highland Glen Pond, Cali – Roller Blade the River Trail, Packer – Hike Stewart Falls, and Benji – play Pickle Ball.

I’ve got 7 of the best kids in the world! I am BLESSED.

    Captain Underpants

Tiago is still obsessed with Captain Underpants so when Benji and I found a pack of captain underpants underpants at Ross we had to get it for him. He thoroughly enjoyed trying on each pair and runnung around the house singing Tra-la-la and sitting on his siblings. We’ve been enjoying these Sunday afternoon family times.

    Happy Anniversary!!!

Bottom line, we are so much in love!

    16 Years!

We started the day with lots of gifts! and said goodbye to the kids.

We went to the Salt Lake Temple and did a session. We had never done that and we LOVED it. We grabbed lunch at a cafe downtown afterwards. I had a delicious chicken salad and Ben had some weird salmon.

Then we drove out to Toole and found our hotel and changed into our COUNTRY clothes so that we could go to the Concert at the Fair. The concert said it started at 7pm but it really started at 9pm so we had lots of time to chill and people watch and enjoy just being together.

Phil Vassar! We knew so many of his songs!! We stayed until the end and enjoyed the small venue and up close and personal. Even got my hat signed.

On Saturday we slept in and then went to race Go Carts! These little cars were fast and fun. If I’m being honest… Ben was way better than me at driving them.

After that we headed home to resume our life as parents 🙂

The New Descendants movie came out on August 2nd! Ben and I were gone so Kelsey came down to party with the kids! The girls made Kelsey a Decsendants Birthday Cake!! And they decorated downstairs and had movie quotes all over. They also had all of the Descendants Barbie’s out to play with. The Hancocks came over for the movie and they had a BLAST. The next day Kelsey stayed until we got home and went swimming with them.
