Cali is playing great defense in her soccer games and they’ve been winning!

Family Home evening in the backyard while we wait for the homemade peach icecream to be ready:

Brother Rob brought Braden and Bryce out to Utah to go to BYU. We had to have some arcade and pingponging.

Another day with Bennett. Millie and Tiago had to show him their new homework on the computer.

Ben got to go to the fancy barber shop with the work guys:

We spent a couple of days helping Emily and Schyleur move out of the condo and into the parents basement. Micah donated some of his Pokemon cards to us so the boys had to organize them:

Michael happened to be in town for the first BYU game of the season so we hung out with him and watched the Cougs beat Arizona.

Ben’s watermelon baby from his garden.

And our neighbor hooked us up with a Gauntlet Legends arcade!

    Grandpa Beckers Funeral

    Raymond Charles Becker

    October 28, 1926 – August 13, 2018

Married Gladys Ludwig on December 17, 1949.

On Friday August 24th we went to Grandpa’s funeral. The funeral was in Lindon at the church across the street from the Osmond Senior Living Center where he lived. And then we went out to Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Camp Williams in Bluffdale for the interment because he served in the Navy around 1944.

The US NAVY had 2 people there to play Taps and then give the flag to Kris and thank her for her dads service. It was really neat!

After the burial we all went to the stake center where mom and dad live in Alpine and they fed us lunch while we chatted with family and reminisced about Grandpa. We had our Nettesheim crew with Rick and Savannah and then Lloyds family with Kirk and fam and Megan and baby.

This picture is one of the last times that we took the kids to see their Great Grandpa. We will miss him and his love and service.

    THAL Extravaganza and Demolition Derby

We hung out with the Thals on Friday and Saturday before school started!

On Friday afternoon we took them to the pond to swim and dig for clay. And find dead fish, chase the ducks, and play king of the raft!

We fed the kids at the pond and then came home and got everyone ready for bed so that the adults could go out!

The 4 of us went out to Chubby’s! and let the big kids take care of the little kids. The kids had ice cream and watched a movie.

On Saturday Morning we made paper and tape boats and then went to find a river to float them down:

We had a couple of parks in mind that have a river running through them but… there is no water this summer! So we ended up back at the pond!

The boats only lasted a few minutes but the kids ended up on the water again and we had lunch at the pond and stayed mostof the afternoon.

We got everyone dressed for the demolition derby, grabbed Kong Kones and headed to the Utah County Fair. We wanted to see the animals and the Lego Exhibit:

Then we found some fair food for dinner and headed in to the demolition derby! We had about 50 people in our group this year! Us, Thals, Pete, Matt, Michelle, Dad and Wright kids, Kelsey, Shannon and Tommi!

The Derby ended in a 4 way tie: Michelle, Tommi, Caitlin and Ellie! Through a process of elimination, recounts and Rock Paper Scissors we were able to pass the trophy on to Ellie! Another successful derby! I need to ask them to start an hour or two earlier cause it always goes so late.

We parted ways with the Thal’s ending our 32 hour extravaganza hangout.
