    Meanwhile Back at Home…

Mal and I worked on planning the Robertson Reunion.

We had another fun pond day with Hancocks and Erica’s friend Meg that has kayaks and a big orange floating mat!

We had the Borens over to swim and slipnslide and picnic!

Ryan and Mary came on Thursday so we had to sleep in forts!

Ryan and I played Games Friday night and then on Saturday Robertson family started showing up for the Reunion!! I went with my mom and Dad and several of the siblings to go to dinner with Aunt Diane and Aunt Susan in Spanish Fork.

Then we played a few games at Joel’s house.

    Megan and Kids

We went to play at a park in Saratoga Springs near Megan and Joel’s new house. Then Megan had us over for lunch and then she babysat the 4 youngest kids until after bedtime 🙂

Then we made a plan to go check out the Campsite that we had reserved for the family reunion. We wanted to see if we needed to bring EZups, if we had too many people, if we really couldn’t bring trailers…

And we found – – – – the campsite Tinney Flats was empty! Noone had been camping there all season. Everything was a disaster, bathrooms were locked up. No camp host and NO RUNNING WATER!

We went down the hill 30 minutes to Payson Lake Campground and talked to the Camp Host there and she sounded like it would be like that all summer. She said they could clean it up a little and open the bathrooms for us but there would for sure be NO WATER.

We spent the rest of the night on the phone and internet with Josh and Mal trying to decide what to do for our campout in 3 weeks…. We ended up finding a campground in Big Cottonwood Canyon and cancelling this one. I feel like we were blessed to make this trip and figure out that it wasn’t going to work for our 59 people!
