    Tie Dye

Mal taught us all how to tie dye! It was fun. The kids each made their own shirt. I failed at my attempt but it was fun to see all the different patterns and colors.

    The Princess Play

My mom wrote a play for all of the girls to perform. It was an Annette Robertson original. Each princess had a special power and all of the princesses had to come out and dance the dragon back to sleep. When the Camden Dragon came out Millie freaked and stood in the corner the rest of the time ๐Ÿ™‚ The girls had so much personality and Grandma wrote it to fit their personalities. They had face paint and crowns and wands! The only bad part was that we waited too long to start the show and the lighting was really bad ๐Ÿ™

    Robertson Reunion at the Cabin

We drove to Pioneer California on Saturday July 25th – we played all week – and drove back home on Saturday August 1st.

    IMG_20150725_092015IMG_20150725_124214-COLLAGEIMG_20150725_124853-COLLAGEIMG_20150725_124153

The cabin doesn’t have cell phone service and there is no internet! It was nice to be phone free and enjoy the family and nature.

    DSC03324ย DSC03712ย Mal robertson - image (34)

Christy and Rob own the cabin. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 lofts, a kitchen, 2 main living areas, and a big deck. At one point during the week we did have all 47 of us there!! (and yes, we did fit in a morning of family picture taking) And Yes, Some people slept in tents.

    Megan Robertson - DSC03730

You can’t have a Robertson reunion without Mother Robertson’s chore chart! She assigns all of us to help with different breakfasts or dinners and Clean Up is also assigned. She also plans all of the breakfast and Dinner food and brings it to the cabin for us! We then split the bill among the families. This year we all brought snacks and lunch stuff to share. Needless to say we ATE and ATE and ATE.

    DSC03590

The cabin doesn’t have Air Conditioning so we spent most of our days away at a lake or river to stay cool.

    Mallory robertson - image (8)

Mother Robertson wanted to make sure that everyone was sufficiently entertained during the week so we were all assigned to come prepared with an activity for everyone to participate in! we were never bored. We all had a blast. Mom did a princess play for the girls complete with daily rehearsals, Dad did a compass treasure hunt, Christy and Rob put up a zipline at the cabin – I didn’t get any pictures of it though :(, Michael skipped out, Ryan did a kids treasure hunt, Kevin and Liz did face painting, Ben and I introduced 1 night Werewolf and Ben read a book to all the kids, Josh and Mal did the Tie Dye Shirts and set up a bbgun shooting area, Joel and Megan brought family feud and we played every night, Tracie and John did a painting contest and Disc Golf, Brady skipped out, Shannon did manicures and pedicures to all that wanted them, Sean taught us Spikeball, and Kelsey made us play Jin Ju wars or something like that :). See – – it was busy ๐Ÿ™‚

We have literally 1000 pictures so I’ll see what I can do to get some of those posted…

and here’s a few of us just hanging out at the cabin:

    July 15 and 16

July 15th we left Wisconsin and drove all day…ย 10:45pm we stopped for the night or 9:45 local time Gillette, Wyoming. The next Day we made the rest of the drive home! MISSION COMPLETION

    IMG_20150715_112731

Goodbye water towers and weird statues and rolling hills…

    IMG_20150715_144641 IMG_20150715_145214ย IMG_20150715_174346

Ben drove the ENTIRE time and it felt good to see that UTAH sign on day 15.

    IMG_20150715_174333ย IMG_20150716_152443

I ASKED EVERYONE SOME OF THEIR FAVORITES:

Ben: ALL of it: hanging out at the beach. Kopps cake batter. I even liked driving in the car.

Benji: it was all super fun. Hades. Tennis. Cousins. Werewolf. Football in the pool. Catching minnows.

Packer: paddle boats, kayaks, Mt. Olympus, creepy cabin, tubing!

Cali: the big wave. And pretty much everything. Going to the beach. Pegasus roller coaster. Go carts with Shannon.

Rose: my favorite was the bumper cars. At the Rushes I liked playing with my cousins so much and I liked to eat with them. Playing in the lake and sand and on the kayaks. The farm!

Ray: going swimming in the lake and the pool. Rolling in the big wave. Getting buried in the sand. Going on the bumper cars, and Tea Cups.

Some of ย My Favorite parts of the trip:

Millie started talking more. Communicating with Shannon to get what she wanted on the drives.
Tiago is bigger. Smiles. He was just adorable.
Visiting with ALL the NETTY fam! and Shannon.
Playing sports and playing in the water EVERY DAY
Tiago and I did not get sick! The rest of the family had something – Packer had Scarlett Fever!
    CUSTARD
Benji and Cali love roller coasters. So DO I. Cyclops with Benji, Pegasus with Cali, Bumper Cars with Packer, Hades with Shannon, Huge Wave!, the Manticore. And Rosie was so sad when she was to short to go on the rides – we will return! when we are taller ๐Ÿ™‚

Love these Roller Coaster Riders ๐Ÿ™‚ Shannon and I wanted to ride together and these 2 were excited to ride together. This was the only coaster that Cali was tall enough for and she loved it! Packer went once and that was more than enough.

    Tuesday July 14:

Raymond woke up asking for Tea Cups with Rosie and Airplane rides! OK – we can do that!

    IMG_20150714_103335 IMG_20150714_103339 IMG_20150714_103553 IMG_20150714_103605

Yes – Tiago went on the Tea Cups!! I don’t know what I was thinking. The other kids needed adults to ride with them so we hopped on.

    IMG_20150714_103832ย IMG_20150714_104747 IMG_20150714_105108 IMG_20150714_105245

We spent the morning at the INDOOR theme park. It was kind of wimpy BUT our kids loved it. Packer LOVED driving the bumper cars. Then we went out and found the smaller go carts that Cali and Packer and Benji could drive.

    IMG_20150714_105335 IMG_20150714_105343 IMG_20150714_121715 IMG_20150714_123243

Day 2 went much smoother since we were familiar with the park and new what we were in for. We tried the OTHER water park areas and played in the big wave again. Then we went and got out of our wet clothes and chowed down at Rocky Rococos Pizza – Delicious! I loved their pizza and the kids LOVED the fancy pick your own drink machine. FUN

    IMG_20150714_145228 IMG_20150714_160327

Then Shannon and Benji and I got to ride the Manticore – I LOVED THIS SWING!

    IMG_20150714_192404 IMG_20150714_192414

Tiago was a trooper on day 2 – 6 weeks old already!

    IMG_20150714_202145

Packer got a free pizza certificate! One of the workers saw him helping Raymond and thought it was very nice. We loved it because Packer is not ‘typically’ our biggest helper but he sure responded to the recognition and went out of his way to be a good helper after that ๐Ÿ™‚

    IMG_20150714_202157

And to end the night – we FINALLY got to ride HADES 360. Ben and Benji went and then Ben wrestled all 7 kids while Shannon and I stood in the 45 minute line so we could ride. It was worth it. AWESOME coaster. Fast. Crazy. Underground. Cork Screw. If the lines were shorter then Mt. Olympus Roller Coasters could be the BEST.

    IMG_20150714_204650 IMG_20150714_214446

The park closed at 10 and we came home to sleep and end our vacation ๐Ÿ™ BUT the kids were so happy when they saw that their beds had been made while they were out partying all day – the simple things ๐Ÿ™‚
