    PR Day 7

Friday was our last day. I wanted to stay at the house and not spend our time driving. Lots of others had the same plan. Everyone kind of did their final stuff – wether it was one last snorkel or finding a horse to ride or getting a few souvenirs or just making shell names in the sand 🙂

Our day included shell hunting, Make names. Souvenir shop. Dollar store. Drink Frappes. Swim in ocean, play rook, swim in pool, play spikeball, make necklaces, eat fish tacos from the fish they caught, play billiards, enjoy bon fire, pack bags, play quix. Go to bed.

    THURSDAY

We had an amazing adventure excursion. We hiked in and went Ziplining, and repelled down the mountain, and then we used kayaks to explore the river cave! The adventure took all morning and then we headed to a local restaurant 2 minutes away and had local food – mofongo and pizza. My Parents babysat the babies all morning so on the way home we took them to see a few waterfalls that were close to that part of the island – Cascade waterfalls! And we finished the night with games at the house.

Wednesday! A bunch of the group went fishing all morning! We stayed home and slept in and enjoyed the beach in the morning. We went in to Rincon to shop and be tourists. That afternoon we met up with everyone at Steps Beach! We did some more snorkeling and relaxed on the beach and took LOTS of pictures on the “steps”. That night we all headed home and just found dinner along the way. We ended up at Mexican with Mom and Dad and Sean and Jana. And finished the night with games on the outside porch.

Tuesday: We snorkeled at the house in the morning and did some more shell hunting. Around 10:30 we headed to Crash Boat Beach. At the beach we snorkeled to the crashed boat. We relaxed under the big tree and drank Pina coladas. We headed over and jumped off the pier and enjoyed the warm clear water. We headed back to the house and grabbed Nutella shakes and yummy sandwiches on the way home. Also stopped by the grocery store. We had some time to swim before our 6:00 dinner reservation at Red Beard Bar. It took over 3 hours to eat but we had a fun!

The Bio Bay was fascinating. With motion the bay would light up, it would cling to your fingers and body. It looked like pixie dust or spell casting. We played in the water for 30-45 minutes testing out the Bio Illuminescents.

    First Stop: lunch

    Rental Car pickup

And from there a bunch of us drove over to El Yunque National Forest to check out a few water falls.

At one of our stops we were told about a natural rockslide. You just pay 5$ to park at the guys house and then the river is in their backyard and…

We found the house and the rope swing and the Rock Slide. The slide was Awesome! Best part of the day!!

The weather was great and the water was nice. A tiny bit cold getting in and then perfect. no need for towels.

At dark we started heading across the island to our rental house. We stopped for dinner.

We got home at 10pm but still had to enjoy the facilities before collapsing in bed.

    Off to Puerto Rico

My Dad wanted to go on a trip with Mom and all of us kids with our spouces. We couldn’t do a cruise because of babies so Dad found an awesome rental house in Puerto Rico. We all made plans and tried to find a week that people could get off of work or out of school and we made it work! We all went to Puerto Rico January 12-19th!! We had all 20 adults and 2 babies.

We dropped Millie and Tiago off at the Hancock’s. We took Cali, Rose and Ray to Matt and Jamie’s. And we sent Packer off on a one night Klondike Campout. He and Benji stayed with Falabella’s. We caught our midnight flight to Charlotte NC where we met up with the California crew and we all flew to Puerto Rico!!
