After 9 Amazing Days – we headed back home! We listened to General Conference and had a great travel and settling back in day.
The cutest part was that I asked Tiago to go put his shoes by the door until it was time to leave… He went all the way down to the outside door and placed his shoes! 🙂
Saturday we watched General Conference and spent time at the pool. We watched more conference and hiked The Crack. Dinner and Custard and more conference for the boys. Night swimming and games to end the night.
On Thursday we drove from LA to St. George! We stopped in Vegas for ice cream and then on to the Condo! First item of business was finding the cousins and then finding the swimming pool!
On Friday we played ultimate frisbee and soccer and then we met the rest of EVERYONE on spring break at the Gunlock Reservoir Waterfalls! They were AMAZING and cold and f un to explore!
We ended the night at Viva Chicken and then Custard!
I tried Guardians of the Galaxy – and I did not like it! The others STILL loved it. Carsland, Jellyfish, Buzz Lightyear… And then back over to Disney to MICKEYS HOUSE! That afternoon we were all so tired – the parade was perfect for resting our legs.
Everyone picked one souvenir to remember the trip and had SOO much fun deciding what to buy. We rode the monorail and Winnie the Pooh and Splash Mountain at Midnight! Packer had us go on Indiana Jones. Ray wanted Space Mountain. Cali and I needed Incredicoaster and Benji adn Ben and Rose got back to Guardians. And the 3 oldest and i might have ridden ThunderMountain 3 times in a row! It was a GREAT last day.
Tuesday Morning we headed across the way to California Adventure!!! After securing a fast pass for Cars we jumped in the short lines and rode Luigi and Mater!
California Adventure closed so we headed back to Disneyland to finish out the night! Another Midnight Closing and early morning alarms!
We paid the xtra for the fast passes and pictures on the app and it saved us lots of time and they captured some great memories:
We found a chapel near Knotts Berry Farm where we were staying and went to church. After church we headed to a park to spend the afternoon.
The LARGE Legos were a big hit. All of the kids enjoyed building and playing in buildings that others had built:
We played on the playground and with the sidewalk chalk. When we’d chilled the afternoon away we left and headed for our Hotel across from DISNEYLAND!! We checked in and ordered pizza and got everything ready for an early Disney morning. And we all went to bed early.
It all started with a boring 9 hour car drive in our well packed and loaded 12 passenger van. We left the house about 4:45pm after school and work. We headed south on the I-15 and raced to California. We stopped at Wendy’s for dinner and the kids stayed up until 10 or 11pm and we got to the hotel at 2am which is really 1am local time.
We spent most of the day Saturday at the beach. Everyone loved it. The waves were magical. The temperature was perfect. We snacked, played soccer, went on a walk, read my book, and kept coming back to play in the water and sand. When we were all exhausted we drove to our next hotel and swam in the pool and changed before heading out for a late dinner.
