Rose’s Baptism Day

Rose Kristine Nettesheim – Baptized a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday November 3, 2018!

We started the morning by going to take pictures with Gentry before she had to go to her baptism 2 blocks away and an hour earlier. ( Yes, we considedered combining and decided to stick with the designated plan) These 2 are born a day apart in different statesbut we knew that they’d end up best friends some day 🙂

Proud Parents (Ben was proud too, but I left him home getting kids ready)

Rose and I stopped at the Barn for a quick photo shoot!

And then we were all ready on time so we gave her her new scriptures and scripture case!

We all headed to the Church and Ben and Rose went to get changed!

The baptism was Great! Sister Gordon helped me plan, Brother Reimschussel conducted. Jamie played piano and Amanda led the music. Grandma N. gave the opening prayer and then Benji gave the talk on Baptism. The cousins all sang the Rainbow song and then she got baptized. Grandpa N and Sean were the witnesses. She joined the double dunk club because her left hand didn’t go under. Everyone wrote special notes to her while I helped her change back into her dress. Then Kelsey gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and she was confirmed. Rose was really excited to get the gift of the Holy Ghost! Dad, Grandpa N, Reimschussel, Matt, Udine,Joel, Sean, and Tyler helped with the confirmation.  We had a closing song and Prayer by Packer and it was over. I think it turned out great.

We headed to the house right after and had Jimmy Johns sandwiches and chips and cookies! We played with cousins and enjoyed the afternoon with family!

We ended  the day by going to Rose’s soccer game and then hanging out with the Hancock’s eating ice cream, hot tubbing and watching BYU football. Nathaniel and I got baptized on the same day as each other 31 years ago. It was neat to have our girls get baptized on the same day!
