    SLEDDING on our day Off

We didn’t have school on Monday so we went to find snow. There was only about an inch on the ground but we had so much fun at Bird Cage Park! The weather was perfect and in the 40’s. We ended up sledding for almost 3 hours!!! Best Sledding Day ever!

Sometimes Kelsey comes down and spends the night and plays with the kids and tries to beat us at Nertz and stays for Sunday dinner and then drives 2 hours home late on a Sunday night when she NEEDS to get back for work.

    Good Times!

Trying Out the New Youth Program

The kids get to try out the new youth program at church. They are supposed to set goals that will help them in different areas of their life. The younger kids have a very similar program as the older ones. We will no longer be doing all of the old programs like Duty to God and Faith in God and Scouts. Now we’ve just got to get some goals set!

    Strep

I got Strep! I was a little off on Thursday night and Friday but by Saturday morning I knew what it was and went and got an antibiotic. I was still out of commision all of Saturday and all of Sunday. Luckily it was the weekend so Ben and then kids took good care of me. And they cleaned and mopped and patched walls!

God does not want us to live in fear and worry. He has given us LOVE and a SOUND MIND. (2 Timothy 1:7)

sometimes I forget to turn to Him for that promised peace!

    Come Follow Me

Our Sundays seem so busy this year! We have less time at church but the entire day seems busy. We’ve been able to have a lesson and scripture time and do family planning and songs and all of our FHE stuff. Then on Monday nights we try to spend some family time doing something fun together.

We’re still getting used to the new program but I can already see that it is helping us stretch and do more than we used to.

    my Wrist?

Years ago my wrist was really bothering me and I talked to my Dr. and it was agitated from carrying my heavy babies all the time and he had me get a brace to support it and strengthen it.

FFWD – January 2019 – I fell and caught myself on that hand. My arm started aching at Pickleball. It got a little tender at basketball scrimmages. When I shoveled a foot of snow it flared up again… Then went I went to old lady basketball one of the ladies was “passing” as hard as possible until it jammed me in the right spot and I had to quit.

I’ve been babying it for a week since that. I’ve worn the brace most of the day and I haven’t gone to play any sports and I even let Ben shovel both mornings that it snowed.

FFWD – March 2019 – I’m back to playing pickleball and basketball. Not wearing a brace. But It still hurts if I chop vegetables, pick up and carry children, or other similar activities. I’m hoping it will slowly get back to normal and not be a factor.

Side Note – Ben has Tennis Elbow. His elbow flares up every time he plays or lifts :(, so we are a pretty pathetic pair after pickleball games.
