    More Weekend Fun

Saturday we had Benji’s soccer game at 10am and then Ben and I had a game at 11:25. I need to mention the game because … I HAD THE WINNING GOAL!! (that doesn’t happen often so it needs to be documented!) We were down 5 to 1 in the game and our team slowly started coming back. Jay had an awesome PK to tie it at 5-5. David pulled a blue card but saved a goal so we played through that. They had a missed PK but did score on another so it was 5-6 them and with a minute left Meagan dribbles down the middle, someone is streaking the left, I’m on her right, David yells at me to go middle. I do. I get the pass and nailed the shot in the upper left corner! 37 seconds to go and girl goals are worth 2 points so we WIN 7 to 6!! ahhhhh. That was a good time to finally make a shot and maybe a good time to retire this pregnant body – or maybe I can finish out the last few games 🙂

After soccer we had plans to meet up with my brothers in Levan – so we packed up the family van and headed that way. We spent the afternoon and evening with Ryan and Tara and Joel. And the kids spent it with Ryan’s 4 kids playing like crazy. Bumper Pool, Dominion, Spades, Pizza, Rock Band, Joel’s Famous, Euchre, and Soda!! We stayed until 11:30pm before making ourselves leave. And I had to run and say goodbye to all of the women’s conferencers that night. I was trying to catch my sister in law but that didn’t happen, whatever Liz! 🙂

    Bumper Pool - I think I won!

    Hanging out with cousins

Cali trying to be big like Taylee, Marlee, and Brinlee.

The next morning was baby blessing Sunday. We miraculously made it to Christians blessing on time and headed over to Pete and Amanda’s that afternoon to eat, I mean to visit 🙂 My brother also blessed his baby Scarlett that morning in California, Brigette and Evan blessed Davis (see Womens Conf pic) and we had one blessed in our ward.

And that was ONE FUN WEEKEND!

    BYU Women’s Conference 2010

I went to Women’s Conference for the first time ever and it was really neat. It was a whirlwind weekend. Friends in town, Running from class to class, staying up late and getting up early. I had a blast. I hope we can do it again next year.

I loved being on BYU campus again - It's so pretty there.

I loved that I got to spend time with old friends. I love reminiscing but I LOVED  making new memories. On Wednesday night my good friend Nichole came up from St. George. We were best friends all through middle school and Junior High and then they moved from The Ville to Utah. She got to stay at my house and catch up on old times. That night Katie Call also came up from Las Vegas and she and LaNell stopped by for a quick visit and plan prep for the conference the next day. Thursday was day one of conference – Me, Erica, Nichole and Katie…

Katie, Nichole, Jana, Erica - Katie is smiling really big because we are at the RB!

The other girls had to work and a car load had not been able to get over the snowy Donner Pass in April! I loved Sister Beck’s talk and we had an excellent class on loving scripture study… never again will I “hurry and get my scripture study in so that I can read a ‘good book'”. All of the classes were good and uplifting. We stayed that night to do service which was so crazy and busy that my 2 fairy wands were all I contributed. And the concert that night was pretty entertaining but we were glad to leave early and beat the parking lot rush – and head to the Malt Shop to meet up with the rest of the girls that had made it in from California!! (there is a really good pic of all of us at the Malt Shop but it wasn’t my camera – so I’ll be waiting for the owner to share it 🙂 )

Raeanne Barth, and Cari Havens joined Nichole and I for a sleep over, we grabbed Erica and Angelee Friday morning and headed for Day 2.  It was another good day of classes and we got to listen to Elder Oaks and his wife to finish it all off.  I was definitely uplifted and have big plans to increase the quality of my day to day living. I admit that it was rather weird to not change any diapers or put kids to bed or have anyone call me Mommy for 2 days. I think we all missed our kids BUT enjoyed the get-a-way. The craziness continued well into the night on Friday as these pictures will attest. Thanks for an awesome weekend girls!!

Most of the crew... back- Angelee, Michelle, Cari, Katie, front- Lanell, Raeanne, Jana, Nichole, Brigette and Davis.

And this one I might get in trouble for but it s a true reflection of a late night…

    strike a pose ?
