    weekend went to fast

Our weekend went way to fast. That is good and bad – FAST usually equals FUN and it was a fun weekend. Another plus is that we weren’t home much so the house is fairly clean to start the week. But we didn’t have any down time so it is harder to jump into a new week.

On Friday I spent 3 hours in the toy room with the kids. It was actually clean so Cali and I played Legos and then Rose and I did puzzles and Ray woke up so we all played in the pretend kitchen. The boys found us in the toy room after school so we kept playing and did the boys daily reading and heard all about the 100th day of school and how much fun their day was. I finally snuck away at 5:30 to make some dinner.
After dinner Ben had a game of “Skylander Guess Who” planned for all of us to play. The kids LOVED it. We played at least 10 rounds before we made the game be done so that I could go to my soccer game at 9pm. It was fun to play with the kids and give them the attention rather than turning on the TV. They are all growing and maturing and sprouting personalities. We have pretty “cool” kids 🙂

On Saturday we got to go up to Ogden to see our niece Marlee be baptized! We spent the day with family. Adults visited and played a few games while the kids played and played and played – cousins really are the best. We didn’t get home until after 11pm. On Sunday we have 1:00 church. The kids were all tired and crazy but we survived and then we headed over to Matt and Jamie’s for a Super Bowl Party. The kids disappeared with cousins again and we enjoyed being with family.
